Lisa Nicole Cane fell in love with music at a very young age. Her public performances began before her 6th birthday and she has been in the business ever since. Not only did Lisa continue in the business, she was focused on the idea to spread the arts to the world. At 13, she and her sister Debbie created a non-profit, Teens for Charitable Causes, that gave local teen talent a chance to use their gifts for the community good. These 12 teenagers raised over $10,000 over two summers to help a local senior center and the Make-a-Wish foundation by writing, directing, and performing original musicals. Lisa has continued directing and has over 35 productions under her belt and has choreographed 100’s of numbers. She has worked with Tampa Bay Children’s Theater, Calvary Christian High School and taught Preschool music at Young Days Preschool.
After a number of wins for her vocal ability at local and national competitions, Lisa signed her first recording contract at age 14, releasing My America on Acclaim Records. Soon after, world renowned entertainment attorney, Richard Warren Rappaport, took her under his wing and she became a regular at BMI’s Pop Music Revues at Steinway & Sons Miami and other professionally sponsored Miami events. She began work with multi-GRAMMY winning songwriter, Christian Leuzzi, recorded under the direction of Raul Murciano of Gloria Estaban and the Miami Sound Machine, and worked with such greats as Spyro Gyra’s Joel Rosenblatt, co-wrote a song with Hollywood actor and Sony songwriter Steven Singer, and worked under the direction of the Tonight Show’s bandleader Ricky Minor. Lisa has performed for the President and First Lady of the United States, Governors, and at the famous Britto Art Galleria on Lincoln Avenue Miami, and shared the stage with Country singers Lee Greenwood (God Bless the USA) and Bill Ray Cyrus (Achy Breaky Heart). Lisa's self-produced album, Merry Christmas with Love, was considered for a GRAMMY in 2015. Lisa also did commercials and modeling and was featured on Maybelline Make-up's website for 18 months as their National Chick with Attitude. Locally Lisa was the pre-show act for the Kelly Clarkson/Clay Aiken Independence Tour at Amelia Arena and she was a featured act at an official Superbowl XXXV event.
Lisa is currently a BMI Songwriter and Publisher, voting member of the National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences (GRAMMY AWARDS) since 1999 and a member of the National Association of Teacher’s of Singing. Her music has been featured on iTunes since 2001. As a musical theater director, Lisa was awarded the Freddie G Fellowship Award at the International Junior Theater Festival 2019. She is currently serving as Countywide At-Large Member Pinellas County School Board, the 27th largest in the nation. Lisa is married and has four children ages 6-13.
